I just tried United Airlines Economy Plus on the redeye to IAH. I upgraded from the regular economy seat. United Airlines is known for the cramped style seating for the basic seating. The space between seats are unchanged. Essentially, the extra space is for let room. For a minimum price, it’s worth’s it for a little more comfort to catch up on sleep before flights.
Choosing the window seat, there is always the challenge of politely asking people to please let you in. I have to laugh because the person in the middle wouldn’t let me in this time. Which means I had to climb over her.
The exit rows are great for Economy Plus. He front seats are perfect for tall people six feet and above. There are no extra amenities for the price. It’s better to use mileage points, or check to see if the plane is undersold. At that point the rate for the upgrade may have gone down.
