Disney's 60th Celebration still makes dreams come true

Disney knows how to give a birthday celebration.
May 22, 2015 marked the Diamond Anniversary
of the beloved Disneyland Theme Park.

For 60 years,  Disney has entertained millions of visitors with a little bit of old, and always new innovations for a better experience.

Even Mickey and Minnie are dressed to the nines, donning glitz, glitter and glamour in a year of celebration.

Glitz and Glamour reigns throughout the park.  This piece of real estate, is
down payment for some homes in California at $37500.

Then again, this glass shoe ... even top name designers would die for.

The infamous "Great Moments with Abraham Lincoln" has been brought back.  As children it was a great place to get air condition on hot day.  As adults, listening to the dialogue, brings back many memories.

Disney's Hall of Fame notes the innovators, who have changed the course of history.

Mickey & Minnie ears are not "Just for Kids"

Like I said,  ears aren't just for kids these days.

When you are little "Storybook Land" takes your mind to imagination.  When you are adult, you are wondering how much work it takes to maintain all the detail.

and....so the lush landscape of "Storybook Land" is now drought resistant.

The submarine ride is now "Finding Nemo".  There are spots of complete darkness.  Which in all the years I have taken that ride, can never keep my eyes open when we go through those parts.  Instant, sleep remedy....take the "Finding Nemo" ride.  Maybe it's combined with the beeping sound, you get a quick power nap...

Added to the Disneyland entertainment, are real Mariachi's.

I love a good party.... I love it even better when the music is jamming...especially live music.Directed by Dr. Ron McCurdy, Professor @ USC, these students in Disney American College band, show plenty spirit and a great time!

Full entertainment, good music, and good times with the American College Band

And so the pirates are singing their ditties...but then we are not too far from the entrance of Disney's private "Club 33" .  Next time you are in New Orleans Square look up.  Disney sports a private executive lounge.  It requires a membership fee, but it is fun to learn all the features Disney does have.

One more little treasure tidbit....

As you waiting to hop on this ride...

look up again...

the  "Dream Suite" sits above the "Pirates of the Caribbean"

Disney's private apartment.  Unfortunately, he passed away before it was completed.

Disney "Paint the Sky"  leaves one breathless...As Disney is known for innovation...
the
Diamond Celebration is a year long celebration.  Don't miss this event, you will want to return back for more.
