Kennedy Space Center lifts off the door to the Public 2013



The year 2014 marks a year of big changes for the way we travel.  Virgin Atlantic and Space Expedition Corporation race for the first real Space Tourism Flights open to the public for commercial flights.  Rates starting at $95,000 to $250,000, the dream of being one of the first commercial astronauts runs financially steep.

In 2012, the Kennedy Space Center marked it's 50th year anniversary celebrating a palette of rare-access tours, including the chance to tour a launch platform from which all 152 launches were supervised by the Space Shuttle programs and Apollo.

On July 1, 2013, the  Kennedy Space Center opened its door to the public.

Astronaut Training Experience (ATX)

Experience real astronaut training guided by a real veteran astronaut.  This is a half day experience offering a full scale simulation of what it is like to experience space and take the helm of mission control. The entire program was designed with help from NASA astronauts to provide a realistic experience.

Astronaut  Encounter

Visitors can come face to face with one of the few who have experienced space travel and hear first hand what it is like to live in space.   Includes a half hour interactive program with questions and answers and the opportunity to take a picture with the astronaut.


Three Dimensional Journey

Global Display that takes visitors on a three dimensional journey around the world and throughout the solar system via dynamic, animated images of the atmosphere, oceans and planets.

Travel Authorization Travel Authorization is required by the Government of Jamaica to persons intending to travel to the island. On arrival, approval for the Travel Authorization is issued after satisfactory completion of a health risk assessment. How to apply: Applications are available online.
