The Hotel Esencia is love story that touches your heart. Once owned by an Italian Duchess as a retreat that she shared with her husband it sits on the white sands of the Riviera Maya near Xpu-Ha.

Upon the death of her husband, the Duchess could no longer visit the property and it sat in disrepair for many years. Her friends saw the estate flounder, thus asking the Duchess to open it to the public as a resort. This is where the love story continues. The estate wasrepaired and opened to the public, shared with families, friends, special visitors come year after year loving the resort in their own interpretation of what it must have been like when she visited with her husband at the
Esencia.
